Land mafia responsible for Karachi unrest: SC
Supreme Court in an interim order has held land mafia responsible for Karachi situation.
KARACHI: A larger bench of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Tuesday issued a 10-page interim order in the Karachi law and order situation case.
The apex court has ordered the Rangers authorities to summit a comprehensive report about the performance of the force.
The order says that revenue department’s reply regarding the allotment of government lands was unsatisfactory.
The Supreme Court also ordered the Chief Secretary to fix revenue records and present its report within three months.
The court has ordered Chief Secretary Sindh, Senior Member Revenue Board, Deputy Commissioner and DPOs to make sure that court orders are implemented.
