Karachi violence claims 6 lives, 3 vehicles torched

At least six people were killed in different incidents of firing and violence in Karachi on Monday.
Incidents of firing violence and target killings continued in Karachi on Monday.
Two persons were killed and one was injured during exchange of firing between rival groups in Memon Goth area of Malir. Police termed the incident as case of an old enmity.
A doctor of Lyari General Hospital was shot dead in Lee Market who was identified as Asad.
A man was killed and a woman was injured in firing by some unknown people in Yusuf Goth area of Baldia. Police also termed this incident as a case of an old enmity.
Meanwhile, a dead body of a man was found from Iqbal Market in Shahbaz Nagar area of Orangi Town. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. A man was gunned down in Manghopir area while the man could not be identified.
On the other hand, Kalery Police police arrested a gang war leader with arms during a raid.
Moreover, some unknown people opened firing when participants of Sunni Tehreek long march held in Rawalpindi were near Water Pump Chorangi while the funeral of a father and a son, who were shot dead last day, were also being taken for burial at the same time.
There was a ruckus in the rally after the firing and enraged people set two buses and a car on fire near Yusuf Plaza while three people were injured.
Police were absent from the spot on this occasion. Fear gripped the area after the incident while traffic also remained blocked.
