LHC summons young doctors today

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has summoned the protesting young doctors for today (Wednesday).

The LHC judge Ijazul Hassan heard the case pertaining to the strike called by young doctors association (YDA) against the non-approval of their service structure by the Punjab government.During the course of proceedings, the Punjab advocate general and health secretary appeared before the court.The court questioned why the young doctors haven’t appeared in court today.On which the counsel of young doctors replied that their clients hadn’t received any court notice.Meanwhile, the applicant said that the doctors haven’t appeared deliberately, adding that few political parties were supporting them.The judge remarked that the doctors should seek justice from courts instead of staging protests on roads.He re-summoned the doctors and adjourned the hearing till 11.
