Nine more fall prey to Karachi violence

At least nine people were killed in different incidents of firing and violence in Karachi on Friday

A political activist namely Saeed was shot dead by unknown motorcyclists in Malir area of Karachi while watchman of Rickshaw Stop in Ajmer Nagri was murdered.In another incident, the miscreants dropped an injured man namely Shahid in Gulbahar and fled from the scene. Shahid succumbed to injuries at hospital.A mutilated dead body of a man was found from Pak Colony who could not be identified while dead body of a man namely Rashid was found near Dhobi Ghat in Klakot area. The victim was kidnapped three days ago from the same area.In a separate incident, a man namely Raza was shot dead in Korangi while a gang war accused Faisal alias Langra was killed in cross firing between two rival groups.Meanwhile, Anti Violent Crime Cell arrested three accused of target killing and kidnapping from Landhi railway station.According to the authorities, the accused including Mahtab, Waseem and Iqbal confessed that they murdered 13 people and kidnapped Jamal, son of a political party office bearer.Moreover, CPLC and AVCC recovered Karim Ali during joint operation in Ayub Goth. Karim was kidnapped on October 27.Two kidnappers were killed in exchange of firing with law enforcement agencies.CPLC chief Ahmad Chinoy said that the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of Rs 6 million to release the abducted man.
