The Supreme Court on Wednesday resumed the hearing of Karachi unrest case, Dunya News reported.Sindh DG Rangers, Sindh IG, provincial chief secretary and additional chief secretary for interior were present in the court.During case proceeding, the bench ordered that the government should abolish the formation of groups on the basis of language.The provincial election commission in its reply before the court submitted that currently it was not possible to form new groupings in the city.Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali remarked that court has no interest in the political affairs but only wants to ensure good governance and public safety.Justice Ameer Hani Msulim said the newspapers had been on a daily basis reporting on the violence prevalent in the city.Justice Jamali directed the authorities to finalise a policy to computerise the process of arms license issuance. He said unregistered computerized licenses should be canceled and heavy fine be imposed if anyone fails to comply with court orders within six months.The bench told additional secretary that police officials were more loyal to political parties than to their own institution.Later, the court accepted advocate henerals plea to exempt chief secretary, DG rangers and IG Sindh Police from appearing in the court.The case hearing has been adjourned till Thursday.
