At least 12 people were killed in violence and firing incidents in different parts of Karachi.

Target killing continues in Karachi as 12 more people were killed during the past 24 hours in different localities of Karachi.According to details, some miscreants killed gunned down two persons in Chongi No 6 while three workers of a religious party were shot dead when some unknown motorcyclists opened firing in front of Safari Park at the University Road. Two deceased were identified as Azeez-ur-Rehman and Qari Mujahid.An MPA of PPP Kulsoom Chandio also injured in firing in Clifton. She was shifted to Civil Hospital for treatment while a man was gunned down in Manghupir area.Earlier, some miscreants opened fire on a car in Baldia and killed one person while three others were critically injured.Two people were shot dead in Korangi Bilal Colony and Korangi Nasir Jump in the early hours of Friday.A 35-year-old Aftab was injured in Baldia Town while another person was injured in firing in Qasba Colony.SIU Police launched search operation in Shershah area and arrested three street criminals. The accused were involved in looting people outside ATM machines.Meanwhile, police have also arrested eight dacoits from Khwaja Ajmer Nagri, Drakhshan and Mubeena town and also recovered arms from their possession.
