National Voters Day being celebrated

The first ever Voters Day is being celebrated across the country.

Various functions at central, provincial and district level will be held at the offices of the Election Commission of Pakistan. Citizens at large are expected to participate in these functions.The functions are being held to emphasize the importance of the vote for the citizens. Different banners have been displayed in the various cities. Some NGOs also plan to hold seminars on different subjects.A ceremony in the Supreme Court will also be held in the presence of the Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammed Chaudhry demonstrating the confirmation of vote through SMS.
