Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), PML-Q and JUI have opposed the Kerry Lugar bill while Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary Information says that the people should not be misguided by floating wrong information about the bill, Dunya News Sunday reported. PML-Q President Chaudhary Shujaat Hussain maintained the bill was Kerry-Looter bill rather than Kerry-Lugar Bill. PML-Q Secretary General Mushahid Hussain termed the conditions of the bill as humiliating. Addressing a conference in Peshawar JUI Secretary General Abdul Ghafur Haideri asserted that national dignity was being sold for $1.5 billion. JUI will not support Kerry-Lugar bill, he stressed. Haideri urged the government to review its policy regarding giving protection to mosques and religious seminaries. Separately, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif observed that PML-N was in favor of good relations with US and Europe, however, foreign aid at the cost national honor was not acceptable. He was talking to media after reviewing development projects in Lahore. On the other hand PPP Central Information Secretary Fauzia Wahab in an exclusive talk with Dunya News said that certain politicians shouldnt misguide the people on Kerry-Lugar bill by attaching wrong information to it.
