The Chief Justice of Lahore High Court Umar Ata Bandial served a contempt notice to religious minister Khursheed Shah for not allotting quota to new Hajj tour operators despite court orders.The court has summoned Khursheed Shah on October 2.During the course of proceedings, the counsel of hajj tour operators Azhar Siddique said that 68 companies of Hajj tour operators have not been allotted quota despite assurances from federal secretary for religious affairs. He said that all the new companies fall on the merit but the religious ministry was deliberately delaying their allotment.The lawyer for federal government could not provide satisfactory answers in the court after which the judge summoned federal minister for religious affairs Khursheed Shah on October 2 after issuing him a contempt notice.
