PM scolds secy water, power over loadshedding

PM Raja Pervaiz Ashraf lashed out on secretary water and power over loadshedding in cabinet meeting.

The members of cabinet also bitterly criticized the Ministers for Finance and Petroleum.Some of the ministers were absent from the meeting but the prime minister started meeting of the cabinet.The Federal Cabinet expressing its determination to end power loadshedding has asked Energy Committee of the cabinet to expedite its efforts to resolve the issue with in minimum possible time.The Cabinet which met in Islamabad on Wednesday with Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf expressed dissatisfaction over the working of the committee.The Prime Minister has decided to summon a special meeting of cabinet to discuss energy crisis next week. He also directed for taking steps to end the power load-shedding.According to media reports the Cabinet has also approved National Policy on Environmental Change.Earlier‚ in his opening remarks Raja Pervez Ashraf said the government is committed to address energy crisis on priority basis.He said the government is making sincere efforts to enhance capacity of Power Generation Plants to overcome energy crisis.The Prime Minister told the cabinet that Pakistan is the first country that registered protest at nation level against the sacrilegious movie and our Government condemned the movie at all forums.However‚ he said he was upset to see some miscreants destroying and damaging public and private property on the day of Youm-e-Ishq-e-Rasool SAWW.
