Security risk:Mobile phone banned in Apex Court

Supreme Court has imposed ban on carrying mobile phone in the court building due to security risk.

The decision has been taken after the security forces wrote a letter to the apex court that mobile phone may be used by miscreants for their destructive intentions.While keeping in view crucial situation, SC Registrar held separate meetings with the spokespersons of the court and the media men and ultimately said that lawyers and journalists would not be allowed to carry mobile phones with them in the court building as precautionary measures.The Registrar’s order would be in effect from September 3.
