Balochistan doctors strike enters 30th day

OPDs and general operation theaters of public hospitals remained closed consecutively for 30th day.

In spite of release of the kidnapped doctor Dr Ghulam Rasool Kakar and 48 hours government deadline, the protesting doctors continued their protest for the 30th day.Patients coming from interior parts of the province faced severe hardship due to protesting doctors and closure of OPDs and general operation theaters.Pakistan Medical Association continued its protest for the 30th consecutive day and has called for arrest of the culprits involved in doctors’ kidnapping and refund of the ransom paid for doctor’s release.The patients have appealed from the government to take measures to stop the protest of the doctors, due to which they are facing severe difficulty.Meanwhile, President PMA Dr Sultan Tareen has said that the doctors have handed over a charter of demand to the secretary health, adding that they would continue the protest demonstration until their demands are met.
