Power shortfall reaches 3,947MW

Urban areas are facing 10 to 12 and rural areas 14 to 16 hours power cuts.

According to the Ministry of Water and Power sources, the generation of electricity is 14,301 Mega Watt while requirement is 18,248 Mega Watt.Owing to shortfall of electricity unscheduled and long hours power outage in cities and villages has increased.In Lahore along with other cities, power outages have been increased to 12 hours while in rural areas it has reached to 16 hours.
