PM Raja pervaiz Ashraf says Thar coal deposits are a gift of nature for Pakistan.

Addressing a function during his visit to Thar Coal site in Tharparkar‚ he said huge coal deposits are a great gift of the nature for people of the area and Pakistans prosperity lies in Thar.The Prime Minister congratulated Dr. Samar Mubarak Mand and his team for successfully implementing the project and announced one month additional salary for the employees of the project.He said further funds for the project have also been released.Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah‚ Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira‚ provincial ministers and parliamentarians and others were also present on the occasion.Earlier Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf visited the Thar Coal Project in Tharparkar.Renowned scientist Dr. Samar Mubarakmand briefed the Prime Minister about the coal gasification project.Prime Minister Raja Parvez Ashraf says the government is exploring each option to enhance power generation.He was speaking during a briefing at Thar coal project in Tharparkar on Thursday.The Prime Minister said Pakistan has been gifted with abundant natural resources from which we can generate energy in a big way.He said Thar Coal Project can play a vital role in energy production and overcome power crisis.Renowned scientist Dr. Samar Mubarakmand briefed the Prime Minister about the coal gasification project.During the briefing a practical exhibition of generating electricity from sun gas was also presented by the scientists.Dr. Samar informed the Prime Minister that in initial phase eight megawatt power stations will be operated through sun gas while their capacity will be enhanced upto hundred megawatt in the later stage.He informed the Prime Minister that the sun gas will be generated through coal gasification from Thar files.
