The doctors have vowed to continue boycotting the OPDs unless the missing doctor is recovered.
Outdoor patient departments (OPDs) in the Quetta hospitals remained closed on Thursday as strike of doctors against the abduction of Dr Ghulam Rasool entered ninth consecutive day causing great inconvenience to the poor patients hailing from far-flung areas.Young Doctors Association, Baloch Doctors Forum, and Paramedical Staff Association endorsed the strike call given by the Pakistan Medical Association for indefinite period.Dr Ghulam Rasool was abducted by unknown when he was way home from Bolan Medical College hospital.The doctors have vowed to continue boycotting the OPDs unless the missing doctor is recovered. They called upon the authority to ensure early and safe recovery of abducted doctor.The strike affected hundreds of patients who were seen awaited outside the OPDs in the scorching heat in the civil and BMC hospitals.
