PM Pervez Ashraf said the government is performing according to the dictates of the Constitution.

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said government believes in the supremacy of law and governing the country according to the dictates of the Constitution.He was talking to Federal Minister for Law and Justice Farooq H.Naik who called on him in Islamabad on Sunday. The two leaders discussed legal issues and the pending court cases.He said Constitution clearly states that the state authority shall be exercised by the chosen representatives of the people.The prime minister said that he not only firmly believes in independent judiciary but also an independent judicial system.Law Minister Farooq H.Naik apprised the prime minister about the initiatives taken to introduce Local Government system in FATA with a view to ensure peoples effective representation in the planning‚ and execution of local development projects.
