Hot wave spell likely to persist next 48 hours

Most parts of the country are in grip of hot wave and the spell will persist in next 24 hours.

According to the Met office, maximum temperature was recorded as 48 degree centigrade in Jhelum.Temperature in other major cities was recorded as:Multan and Lahore forty four, Nawabshah, Jhung and Rawalpindi thirty seven, Faisalabad thirty six and Challas thirty five degree centigrade.Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecasted that monsoon rains will start from Friday or Saturday.
