NAB team to probe Arsalan case

The team would be formed on Thursday. The decision has been taken after the Attorney General of Pakistan’s letter to NAB Chairman Fasih Bukhari.The letter written by Attorney General Irfan Qadir to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Fasih Bokhari says that the probe should be initiated regarding Arsalan Iftikhar alleged corruption case on the order of the Supreme Court.In his letter, the AG said that NAB chairman was heading the biggest investigation of the country that has capital importance than other agencies as per the NAB Ordinance. He said an investigation team based mostly on honest officers of NAB, the FIA and police to probe the matter should be formed.It is worth mentioning that ormer Bahria city chief Malik Riaz had accused Arsalan Iftikhar of receiving Rs340 million from him on the promise of obtaining cases pending within the Supreme Court settled in his favour and in favour of his Bahria city.The Supreme Court had taken suo motu notice of the scandal and ordered investigations into the issue.
