Car bomb explosion kills two in Peshawar

A remote-controlled bomb exploded in a car near Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar on Saturday killing a spokesman of a tribal group and his driver while wounding three others, police said. According to police officials, Mubeen Afridi, spokesman for a tribal group Ansar-ul-Islam which operates in Khyber tribal district near the Afghan border, and his driver Haji Khan Afridi, was on his way home when the bomb planted in his car detonated by a remote control near Hayatabad Medical Complex. Bomb disposal Chief Shafqat Malik said that 15 to 20 kilograms of explosives were used in the device which was planted under the car. Police has arrested two suspects from the site of the incident.
