Scorching heat grips most parts of country

Most parts of the country remain under the grip of scorching heat temperature jumped to 50C in Dadu.

Heat wave has confined people to their homes in central and south parts of the country while roads and markets wear a desert look.The citizens have increased use of cold drinks to cater the intense hot weather.According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), most parts of the country would remain under the grip of heat during next 24 hours.Maximum 50C temperature was recorded in Dadu while temperature of different cities was: Larkana and Sibi 48C, Sargodha 47C, Nawabshah and Sukkur 46C, Lahore 44C, Islamabad 42C, Peshawar 45C, Karachi 34C, and Quetta 34C.
