Paramedics staff threatened to close emergency wards at all government hospitals.

Several protest demonstrations were held in Lahore and Multan on Friday by Health Department paramedics who were demanding new service structure, health professional allowance and regularization of contract employees.In Lahore the protest entered 18 days during which a number of paramedics from various teaching hospitals of the city took part.On the fourth day of protest in Multan, the staff took out a rally from Dental Hospital to Nishtar Hospital.The protesters shouted slogans against the provincial government and threatened to close emergency wards at all government hospitals.
