Turkish Ambassador calls on President Zardari

The newly appointed Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Mustafa Babur Hezlan Tuesday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at the President House and presented him his credentials of posting in Pakistan. The President while felicitating and welcoming the newly appointed Ambassador hoped that he would work for further strengthening the already existing bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries in all spheres to mutual benefit. The President said Pakistan considers Turkey a close and trusted friend and wanted to further enhance bilateral trade and commercial ties. Zardari appreciated the Turkish government for its support and assistance for the relief and rehabilitation of the displaced people in Pakistan, and thanked for their efforts and contribution in organizing meetings of Friends of Democratic Pakistan (FODP) in Turkey. The Turkish ambassador said his country will continue to support Pakistan in the ongoing fight against militancy and terrorism, and the rehabilitation of the displaced people.
