LHC judge quits hearing of Aslam Madhiana case

Justice Rauf Ahmad Sheikh of LHC has excused hearing Aslam Madhiana bail case.

Two-member bench of the Lahore High Court comprising Justice Rauf Ahmad Sheikh and Justice Shahid Hameed Dar resumed the hearing of Aslam Madhiana’s case who was arrested after accused in torturing a teacher.Justice Rauf Ahmad Sheikh excused hearing the case during next proceedings on grounds of personal reason and forwarded the matter to Lahore High Court Chief Justice for the formation of new bench.The court directed the high court office to combine Aslam Madhiana’s application of bail with school teacher Nafees Khan torture case so that the hearing of both cases should be resumed at the same time.Madhiana had requested the court to remove anti-terrorist clauses from the case.Torture victim Nafees Khan also appeared before the court on a stretcher.Aslam Madhiana was arrested for allegedly torturing a teacher and the case is under proceeding in the Anti-Terrorist Court.
