Stormy weather in Karachi, two killed, many hurt

Two people including a woman were killed while many were hurt due to stormy winds in Karachi.

The dust storm that started around 7:15 PM continued for about 30 minutes and caused many sheds, trees and electricity wires to come down, sources said.A woman was killed as a result of electrocution in Gulshan-e-Hadeed area.Heavy winds brought down a shed over a sitting area at Civil Hospital Karachi, injuring two persons. A tree also fell down in the middle of a road near the same hospital, blocking the vehicular traffic.The dust-filled gale filled the sky over the city, causing overall visibility to grow considerably low, particularly, for motorists who faced hardship driving on main thoroughfares and streets.
