ECP fails to complete voters lists

ECP has delayed the printing of voting lists due to enrollment of new voters.

According to the NADRA and Election Commission of Pakistan the printing of voting lists was to be completed till May 25.So far as the work of data entry of voters is concerned, it has been completed by 90 percent; however, printing of voting lists has been postponed so that the new voters could be included.According to the NADRA about 15,000 new identity cards are being issued every day.The Supreme Court had ordered the Election Commission and the NADRA to complete voting lists till February 23 but the Election Commission gave May 25 as last date for the completion for voting lists.The Supreme Court has expressed its resentment over this delay.
