Asghar Khan case: SC to resume hearing today

The three-member bench of the Supreme Court will resume hearing of Asghar Khan case today.

A three-member bench of the Supreme court headed by Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and comprising Justice Khilji Arif Hussain and Justice Tariq Parvez will resume Asghar Khan case today.In the previous hearing of the case – against the alleged role of intelligence agencies in rigging the 1990 elections – the court had asked the attorney-general to produce inquiry commissions’ reports on Habib Bank and Mehran Bank.Salman Akram Raja is representing Asghar Khan in the casewhile while former army chief Mirza Aslam Beg, former DG ISI Asad Durani and former chief executive Mehran Bank, Younus Habib are the main parties in the case.
