After the Supreme Courts decision, President Asif Ali Zardari issued orders of halting the operation of 76 PCO judges. In the light of 31st Julys decision of Supreme Court, President Asif Ali Zardari signed a notification halting the operation of 76 PCO judges. According to the notification, the judges who have been ordered to stop functioning include 9 of Supreme Court, 34 of Lahore High Court, 20 of Sindh High Court, 6 of Peshawar High Court and 7 judges of Islamabad High Court. The offices of all these judges have been closed with immediate effect after issuance of this notification.
