Karachi police conducted search operation in Lyari area after recent spate of violence in the city.

After series of violent incidents during past few days, the police swoop on suspected target killers to bring the situation under control.On Sunday, police conducted a search operation in various areas and during early morning action a suspect of the notorious Lyari gang war, Saqib alias Shafi, was killed in police encounter in Chakiwara area. Weapons were seized from the suspect.During exchange of fire, Assistant Sub-Inspector Waheed was also injured.Dozens of people lost their lives during the unabated scattered incidents of violence in past few days following killing of MQM and ANP workers.
