PA passes resolution against energy crisis

Punjab Assembly on Friday passed a unanimous resolution against the energy crisis.

The resolution demands reasonable distribution of electricity in all the provinces.Talks were held between the Opposition and the representatives of the Punjab government for moving a unanimous resolution against the energy crisis.Opposition Leader Raja Riaz Ahmad participated in talks with the Punjab government representatives and nine points of the resolution were reviewed.The opposition demanded that the objectionable points of the resolution should be deleted.Opposition further demanded that the resolution should not give any impression that the federal government was doing injustice with the Punjab government regarding distribution of electricity.It had been demanded in the resolution that the distribution of electricity among the provinces should be based on justice and issue of the circular debt should be resolved within a month.The resolution further demanded that the projects of gas pipeline with Iran and import of LNG should be implemented on urgent basis and his gas should be utilized only for industry and power generation.
