MQMs Coordination Committee has announced one day mourning over the death of its member.

After the killing of MQM’s sector member in PIB Colony, many people were reportedly injured. Aerial firing was witnesses in PIB Colony, Gullistan-e-Johar, Lines Area, Shah Faisal Colon, Korangi and Malir. The traffic also remained suspended in most of the city.Schools and petrol pumps also remained closed after spiraling violence in Karachi. One person was also killed in firing in Mehmoodabad, according to fresh reports.Two vehicles at Isfahani Road, a truck carrying milk in Malir, a bus in Shah Faisal Colony, another one in North Karachi, two buses in Nagan Chowrangi, 3 buses in PIB Colony and many other vehicles in various areas were burnt. At many places make shift outlets were also burnt.MQM chief Altaf Hussain has also condemned the incident. He appealed the workers to observe restraint and not get provoked, calling for early arrest of the culprits.MQM leader Raza Haroon and provincial Health Minister Sagheer Ahmed said that the incident was conspiracy to sabotage Karachi’s peace.
