Upgradation of seven major hospitals in Punjab on the cards
Funds of Rs5bn approved by the caretaker cabinet
LAHORE (Web Desk) - The caretaker Punjab government has decided to improve treatment and other facilities in major hospitals of the province.
The cabinet has granted approval to the up-gradation program of seven major hospitals of the province along with improving treatment facilities.
Under the program, rehabilitation, construction, repair and restructuring will be done of Mayo Hospital, Jinnah Hospital, General Hospital, Dental Hospital, Children Hospital Lahore, Nishtar Hospital Multan and Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
The cabinet granted approval of Rs5 billion of funds for the up-gradation of hospitals.
Approval was also granted to change the names of DHQ Hospital Kasur to Baba Bulleh Shah (RA) Kasur and DHQ Hospital Faisalabad to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Hospital Faisalabad.
All the decisions were taken during the cabinet meeting chaired by caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
