Summary Misbah Arshad said she viewed the achievement as the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of her journey
(Dunya News) - Misbah Arshad has been crowned Miss Universe Pakistan, becoming the fourth Pakistani woman to represent the country at the prestigious international pageant.
Arshad was awarded the title following a competitive selection process for the Miss Universe pageant. She received the sash from Pakistan franchise owner Josh Yugen and her predecessor, Roma Riaz, during a ceremony in the Philippines.
The organisation also shared a video on social media capturing the moment Arshad was presented with the honour.
Reflecting on her journey, Arshad described the experience as a “true prize”, saying it had taught her valuable lessons about humanity and the importance of the people she encountered along the way.
“The beautiful souls you meet along the way. All of this makes you feel deeply human,” she wrote in a social media post.
Arshad said she viewed the achievement as the beginning of a new chapter rather than the end of her journey.
“Thankfully, our journey hasn’t ended here. It just began,” she wrote, adding that she wanted to live more in the moment and enjoy every stage of the experience.
During the selection process, Arshad was asked by actor Bailey May who she thought would pose a tougher question if she were placed in a room with her 10-year-old and 80-year-old selves.
She responded that her 10-year-old self would ask the more difficult question, particularly about how her life had turned out.
Arshad, who studied psychology, said she would tell her younger self that life is a beautiful cycle that should not merely be accepted but fully enjoyed.
In her victory message, the new Miss Universe Pakistan thanked everyone who had supported her and contributed to her journey.
