Summary Police have registered a case against Rajab Butt and his associates after a woman accused them of assaulting her and her friends and opening fire during a dispute at a Lahore cafe.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Nawab Town police have registered a case against Rajab Butt and several of his associates over allegations of assaulting a group of women and opening fire during a dispute at a cafe in Lahore.
The FIR was lodged on the complaint of Ayesha Jutt, who alleged that the incident took place on July 25 when she visited a local cafe with her friends. According to the complaint, two men and two women began harassing one of her friends, leading to an argument.
The complainant stated that when they tried to intervene, the suspects allegedly verbally abused her friend before slapping her. She further claimed that one of the accused, identified as Mir Shafi, pulled out a pistol and opened fire during the altercation.
The FIR also alleges that Rajab Butt was present at the scene and participated in assaulting and attacking the complainant and her friend during the incident.
Following the complaint, Nawab Town police registered a case under Sections 354, 506(B) and 337-H(2) of the Pakistan Penal Code and have launched an investigation into the matter.
