The two artists were recently spotted on the streets of London, where a video showing them taking selfies with fans went viral on social media.
Social media users criticized Aima Baig over her outfit and also alleged that the singers appeared to be intoxicated in the viral clip.
Responding to the criticism, Bilal Saeed shared a video statement and dismissed the allegations.
He said they were shooting in London when the video was recorded and clarified that the cups in their hands contained coffee, not alcohol.
Bilal Saeed questioned the criticism, saying that just because people nearby were drinking alcohol did not mean he was doing the same. He also asked critics whether they had seen him vomiting or displaying signs of intoxication.
The singer further told critics not to lecture them on how to represent Pakistan, adding that he and fellow artists have long represented the country through their music and will continue to do so.
