(Web Desk) - Pakistani film actress Meera has revealed that she experienced depression while shooting for her upcoming film Psycho.

In a recent interview, Meera spoke openly about her film career and personal life. Responding to rumors that she had been admitted to a mental asylum in the United States, she clarified that this was not the case. Instead, she explained that she was affected by the intense nature of her role in Psycho, directed by Shaan Shahid.

She shared that during the first phase of filming, the demanding character took a toll on her mental health, leading to depression and a decline in her overall well-being.

To seek treatment, Meera traveled to New York, where she consulted a psychologist who helped guide her through recovery. She added that it took significant effort to come out of the character and regain her mental balance, noting that it was her first time truly immersing herself so deeply into a role.

The actress also praised Shaan Shahid as a skilled director who taught her how to fully embody a character.

Psycho is expected to release on Eid al-Adha this year. The film’s supporting cast includes Javed Sheikh, Sonya Hussyn, Nayyar Ejaz, and Shabbir Jan.
