(Web Desk) – A court has rejected the bail application of Hassan Zahid, who stands accused of attempting to abduct popular social media influencer Samiya Hijab.

Following the bail rejection, police arrested Zahid in a separate case involving threats and cash snatching, and secured a two-day physical remand. Authorities stated that Zahid's identification could assist in tracking down other suspects linked to the ongoing investigation.

The defence counsel told the court that Zahid and Samiya had previously been engaged, and that he is currently facing two separate criminal cases.

Samiya Hijab, a well-known personality on Instagram and TikTok, with a significant online following, has accused Zahid of harassing her for several months. In a video statement shared online, she described a disturbing incident: “My mother was unwell, and my brother wasn’t home. When I stepped outside, he took my phone, sat in his car, and tried to force me in.”
