Famous Bollywood actress Meenakshi Seshadri is celebrating her 48th birthday today.

Meenakshi Seshadri was born into a Tamil Iyengar Brahmin family at Sindri, Jharkhand on November 16, 1963.She made her debut in Painter Babu in 1982 opposite Rajiv Goswami, the younger brother of Manoj Kumar. She shot to fame with the mega hit film Hero in 1983 which was directed by Subhash Ghai.She gave a stunning performance in Damini and was nominated for a Filmfare Award for the movie.Meenakshi won the Miss India contest in 1981 at the age of 17 and became the youngest woman to be crowned Miss India.She acted in her last film Ghatak in 1997.Meenakshi got married to a banker Harish Mysore. The couple have settled in Texas with a daughter called Kendra and son, Sanjosh.
