(Web Desk) - Seletar Airport in Singapore buzzed with excitement on Tuesday as security personnel erected barriers and Taylor Swift fans eagerly awaited the arrival of the pop sensation.

Swift touched down at 5:05 pm on Flight VJT993, a chartered Bombardier Global Express jet, after concluding the Australian leg of her The Eras Tour in Sydney on February 26.

Departing from Sydney at 11:58 am local time, her flight lasted approximately eight hours.

Although only a few fans showed up at the airport, international media reports indicated significant online interest, with over 6,000 people tracking her plane’s journey.

Among the fans present was 24-year-old Tricia Chan, accompanied by her mother, 58-year-old Sophia Chan.

Tricia expressed her excitement, stating that while she had never done anything like this before, she had been a fan since Swift’s debut album and looked forward to attending the concert on March 9.

Upon arrival, Swift and her team boarded black Toyota Alphards, sparking speculation that she might be staying at Marina Bay Sands.

However, the convoy surprised onlookers by heading to Sentosa and stopping at luxury resort hotel Capella around 6:20 pm.

Anticipation for Swift’s concerts in Singapore have been high, with Marina Bay Sands announcing curated events to celebrate the occasion, including themed experiences at The Shoppes and Sands Expo & Convention Centre, along with a special light and water show from February 28 to March 7.

Additionally, a retail pop-up at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre’s Hall C will operate from February 29 to March 9.

The influx of more than 300,000 fans from across the region has driven demand for hotel accommodations, with Marina Bay Sands selling out premium packages starting from S$10,000, including a S$50,000 package offering VIP tickets and attraction passes.
