(Web Desk) – The 15th edition of the Karachi Literature Festival (KLF) concluded with a pledge to continue highlighting the importance of literature at every forum.

The three-day event held discussions on various themes. Almost 200 speakers including those from foreign countries participated in the carnival of ideas.

The concluding event of the 15th KLF honoured literary figures Zahra Nigah, Iftikhar Arif, Kishwar Naheed, and Muneeza Shamsie for their longstanding support to the festival.

Najeeba Arif, a keynote speaker, emphasised the significance of literature, citing its importance in the Quran. 

Jordanian scholar Joseph Massad discussed the interconnectedness of liberalism and democracy, underscoring their role in modern governance.

Maya Inayat Ismail and Arshad Saeed Hussain from the Oxford University Press Pakistan, the festival’s organiser, expressed appreciation for everyone involved.

The event concluded with a captivating Qawwali performance by Najmuddin Saifuddin and Brothers, leaving the audience enthralled.

The KLF is an annual feature of the city of lights, which affords thousands of people an opportunity to enjoy insightful discussions on multiple themes and current issues.
