(Web Desk) - American pop sensation Taylor Swift has issued a legal warning to a student in Florida who has been tracking the private jet movements of various celebrities, including Swift herself.

According to reports from a US newspaper, Taylor Swift’s lawyers have taken action against Jack Sweeney, a student at Florida College, for his monitoring activities.

Sweeney confirmed in an interview with a foreign news channel that he received a cease-and-desist letter from Swift’s attorneys in December.

The letter demanded that he stop publishing private information about the singer, particularly regarding her private flights, on his social media accounts.

The legal letter emphasized the importance of Swift’s safety and well-being, stating that her constant exposure to stalkers and potential threats since her teenage years makes such tracking a matter of “life-or-death” for her.

In response, Sweeney defended himself, explaining that he only tracks the carbon footprint of celebrities and billionaires.

He argued that his postings are harmless and based on publicly available data from the Federal Aviation Administration and flight signals from aviation enthusiasts.

He stressed that his intention is to estimate the carbon emissions of each flight.

Sweeney criticized Swift’s team, accusing them of attempting to exert control over information that is already widely accessible.

Meanwhile, Taylor Swift, made history at the Grammy Awards 2024 by winning Album of the Year for the fourth time with her album “Midnights,” becoming the first artist to achieve this feat.
