(Web Desk) - Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, the power couple residing in their $20 million Los Angeles mansion since its acquisition in September 2019, have reportedly moved out due to severe water damage issues leading to mold infestation.

A lawsuit, filed in May 2023 and obtained by Page Six, sheds light on the couple's legal battle against the property sellers, highlighting the significant damages incurred.

The Lavish LA Mansion
The sprawling mansion, featuring seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, and a plethora of luxurious amenities, became the center of a legal dispute after the pool and spa presented problems, including "porous waterproofing" fostering mold contamination.

Additionally, a water leak at the barbecue area on the deck caused damage to the interior living space.

The lawsuit contends that the mansion's conditions made it "virtually unlivable" and posed health risks, prompting Priyanka and Nick to seek "consequential damages" from the sellers.

The complaint suggests reimbursement for repair costs and compensation for the loss of use and other damages resulting from the sellers' conduct.
Legal Battle And Damages Sought

While the exact costs are yet to be determined, the waterproofing issues are anticipated to exceed $1.5 million, with general damages estimated at around $2.5 million, according to the latest Page Six report.

The couple, accompanied by their two-year-old daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, has temporarily relocated to another property until the repairs on their mansion are complete. The legal proceedings, involving multiple parties, have contributed to delays, with a trial date likely set for 2025.

In an exclusive statement to Page Six, a source close to Priyanka and Nick expressed disappointment with the building errors, emphasizing the couple's significant investment in the home. The mansion is currently undergoing repairs, and they expect it to be in perfect condition shortly.

As Priyanka and Nick navigate through this legal ordeal, they continue to maintain their global lifestyle, with Nick recently visiting India for a performance with the Jonas Brothers. Priyanka's up.
