Sridevi will be seen playing the role of a housewife in English Vinglish.

Sridevi, who ruled the silver screen in the 80s and early 90s, will be making her big screen comeback with English Vinglish.The movie is being produced by Balki and directed by his wife, Gauri Shinde. Sridevi will be seen playing the role of a housewife, who in order to please her husband and family, enrolls for an English speaking course.Sridevi has been a regular on the party circuit and has done a few ads and walked the ramp for various designers but has largely been a homemaker for the last 14 years. She did a TV sitcom Malini Iyer and a cameo in Ajay Devgn starrer Halla Bol, but has not done a film since 1998.The gorgeous actress is currently in New York City, shooting the second schedule of the film. In the pictures, Sridevi is dressed as a simpleton in Indian wear. Her costumes for this film have been designed by Sabyasachi.
