Authorities to probe Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone in online betting scam

(Web Desk) - The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has targeted some of India's most well-known Bollywood actors and singers as part of a continuing investigation into the Mahadev online betting case, which is a surprising turn of events.

The prominent people are anticipated to be contacted by the agency regarding their participation in events connected to the app's promoter, Sourabh Chandrakar, such as a luxurious wedding and a success party hosted in the United Arab Emirates.

Tiger Shroff, Sunny Leone, Neha Kakkar, Atif Aslam, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Ali Asgar, Vishal Dadlani, Elli AvrRam, Bharti Singh, Bhagyashree, Kriti Kharbanda, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Krushna Abhishek, and Sukhwinder Singh are just a few of the famous people included in the probe.

The ED and many state police units have been closely monitoring the Mahadev Book app, an online betting platform.

According to digital evidence gathered by the ED, an astounding amount of Rs 112 crore was sent to an event management business through hawala routes, and an additional Rs 42 crore was paid in cash for hotel reservations.

There has been a video that purports to be footage from Sourabh Chandrakar's wedding in February of this year, and it shows these Bollywood bigwigs in attendance. Additionally, sources have revealed that there is also an inquiry going on into the app's success party, which was thrown by Chandrakar and co-promoter Ravi Uppal in September of the previous year.

Numerous Bollywood stars and singers, all of whom are currently the subject of the ED's investigation, also attended the second event.

These Bollywood bigwigs got sizeable cash payments through hawala methods from event management companies for their involvement in both events, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Additionally, it has come to light that a well-known actor was hired for this year's app success party and apparently received substantial payment from the event planner.

The Enforcement Directorate has taken immediate and significant action in this case. In relation to the Mahadev online betting case, they confiscated and frozen assets on Friday worth at an astounding Rs 417 crore.
