The starrer is poised to become one of the biggest Bollywood hits of all time

(Web Desk) - Though it has been only five days since the film premiered, Atlee Kumar’s Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Jawan is poised to become one of the biggest Bollywood hits of all time.

Following its historic opening, Jawan has now become the third Bollywood film of 2023 to cross the Rs300 crore mark in India. The film has also achieved the distinction of being the fastest Bollywood movie to reach the Rs500 crore mark at the global box office.

Jawan will also surpass the Rs600 crore worldwide gross mark today.

While both SRK and director Atlee are receiving widespread appreciation for the film, the other cast members, including Vijay Sethupathi, who played the antagonist, are also getting immense love from all quarters.

Heaping praise on Vijay Sethupathi, actor Aaliyah Qureishi, who played one of the six women in the team put together by SRK’s Azaad, said that she was a diehard fan of the Tamil thespian. “I love Vijay sir. I will fight to death anyone who says anything even slightly bad about him,” she said during an interview with Bollywood Hungama.

Mentioning that she had watched him in films such as Super Deluxe, Aaliyah stated that Vijay Sethupathi is “such a humble person”. “When you speak to him, you won’t feel like you are talking to a brilliant actor or star. He is just nice, calm and on his own. He doesn’t have anything flashy,” she added.

Pointing out that Sethupathi is extremely dedicated to his craft, Aaliyah added: “Sometimes, he would have an acting coach with him on the set, just to bounce ideas off on how to do a scene slightly different or to find if there’s any inflexion he could change. So, he’s always trying to improve his craft even though he’s at the top.” She said that doesn’t envy that job, considering how talented he is already.

Aaliyah also stated that the chemistry between Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay Sethupathi was chilling. “While Shah Rukh sir is all about charisma and style, Vijay is more about improvisation where he would just say something funny out of the blue.”

It is learnt that Jawan actor Aaliyah Qureishi couldn't get tickets for her own film.
