Yumna Zaidi, Sadia Imam travel to Karbala in reverence for Imam Hussain

LAHORE (Web Desk) - Ashura is the day of mourning and everyone including the showbiz celebrities suspend their routine activities and spend the day while giving homage to the martyrs of Karbala.

The day holds great significance for Muslims all over the world as they mourn the Shuhada of Karbala and remember their great sacrifice. It brings tears to one’s eyes and also teaches us resilience and motivates us to always stand with the right.

Everyone tries to pay homage to the grandson of Holy Prophet by organising Majalis and participating in the Muharram processions.

Many people travel to the Karbala to show reverence for Hazrat Imam Hussain.

During this month, celebrities also embark on spiritual journey of Karbala to pay homage to the martyrs on Ashura.

Pakistani drama star Yumna Zaidi also travelled to her spiritual journey of Karbala, Iraq. It is the place where the battle of Karbala took place and the family of Holy Prophet was massacred.

Zaidi spent the Muharram in Karbala with her mother.

Another Pakistani actress Sadia Imam also spent Muharram in Karbala this year. She has shared bunch of pictures from the revered land of Karbala.

The Pakistani celebrities also arrange special Majalis at their homes here in the country.

Showbiz star Mehwish Hayat shared deep poetry of Allama Iqbal narrating the incident of Karbala on her instagram.
