Items from the estate of late American actor John Wayne go up for auction in southern California.

He was a Hollywood legend who made more than 170 films.Now those wanting to own a piece of the Dukes history will have their chance when John Waynes most prized possessions will go up for auction in Los Angeles.The late actors son Ethan Wayne curated the collection.The auction features more than 700 lots and prices range from $100 to $50,000 (USD).Notable items include the actors cowboy boots and hats, movie scripts and the iconic eye-patch he wore in the 1969 hit True Grit.
