Youth spends more extravagantly on top brands

Youngsters are spending a great deal on clothes flaunting high-end brands brazenly.

Money-spinner for luxury brands, it is also a clear indicator of changed wardrobes in modern India, which has taken globalisation a step ahead.According to a survey, young Indians are more brands aware than the previous generation and are spending extravagantly on top brands. The study, conducted in ten cities, after interacting with 2,000 youngsters in the age group of 13 to 21 years.Out of the total respondents 35 per cent claimed an average expenditure of Rs 5000 per month, 40 per cent were splurging up to Rs 4000 and about 400 said they spent between Rs 3,500 to Rs 4000 to buy new clothes every month.
