A music teacher in Iran started curing personality and other disorders through the sound of music

Music is banned in Iran but the 33-year-old Iranian therapist is using songs to help severely disabled people and those with special needs to find their voice.He uses a lot of traditional Persian folk songs with familiar themes. He describes the changes in his patients as tangible.The positive effects of music sessions are largely down to the pleasant memories patients associate with familiar songs.“The fact that they want to hear the music shows that they do feel better,” he said.
