The year 2011 in Hollywood has been declared as the year of the series as every fifth movie to be released is going to be a series.

According to the Hollywood annual report, every fifth film to be launched is a continuation series of a movie. This year, the famous series releases include the final episode of the harry potter series, Mission Impossible series and also the pirate of the Caribbean series.
