Pakistani artists to initiate protest campaign against Indian films' exhibition

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Prominent artists and filmmakers from Pakistani film industry have decided to boycott and initiate protest campaign against the exhibition of Indian films.

The protest will start from Lahore Press Club.

The preliminary meeting of the artists and filmamkers was held in Pakistan film distribution association chairman Chaudhry Aijaz Kamran’s office in Royal Park.

The attendees while presenting their opinion said that while including all the people from the film industry, a strong protest will be registered.

They said that contacts have been made with various film showbiz personalities.

The date of the protest will be announced after consultation.

Senior artists said that millions of revenue is shifted to India through the movies hence; the government should take notice.

They pronounced that Pakistani artists should not undermine the dignity of their country in the greed of money and fame.

The meeting was attended by various renowned artists which include Mustafa Qureshi, Abid Ali and Ghulam Mohiuddin.
